Most modern smartphones from 2018 onwards support eSIM technology. This includes iPhone XS and later, Google Pixel 3 and later, Samsung Galaxy S20 and later, and many other flagship devices. To verify, dial *#06# and check if an EID number appears.
When should I install the eSIM?
We recommend installing your eSIM 1-2 days before departure while you still have a stable WiFi connection. The eSIM will only start counting your data days once you activate data roaming in Europe.
Does this Europe eSIM include calls or SMS?
This is a data-only eSIM plan unless a selected product option states otherwise. You can make calls and send messages using apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime, Skype, or any other VoIP service over your data connection.
