Most modern smartphones from 2018 onwards support eSIM technology. To verify, dial *#06# and check if an EID number appears. Your phone also needs to be SIM-lock-free.
Which Thailand eSIM plan should I choose?
Choose a native operator plan if you need features such as local calls, incoming calls, or incoming SMS. Choose a daily, total data, or unlimited data plan if you mainly need mobile data for maps, messaging, browsing, and apps.
When does my Thailand eSIM plan activate?
Activation depends on the selected plan. Some native operator or speed-limited unlimited plans start when the QR code is scanned, while standard data roaming plans usually start after connecting to a supported network at the destination. Check the Plan Rules section before installation.
Do all Thailand eSIM plans include calls or SMS?
No. Calls or SMS features only apply to selected native operator plans. Daily, total data, and standard unlimited data plans are usually data-only unless the selected plan states otherwise.
